1935 Miltiadis Christeas opens in Kolokotroni street, in the center of Athens, a small shop with construction paints. A few years later he moves the shop in the corner of Miltiadou and Praxitelous street adding fine art supplies to his range.

After Miltiadis Christeas passed away in 1961, his family takes over the business.

1965 The store is relocated in Praxitelous street, where you can still find it today, and all the construction related paints are discontinued. The store becomes a fine arts specialty store.

1975 The company grows, another shop is opened in Kolonaki on Pindarou street, and new ranges of products such as cards, gifts and party goods are added.

1982 The wholesale distribution and the warehouse of the company relocate to Vrilissia and a paper converting division is established.

1989 Art & Hobby becomes the exclusive distributor of Hallmark Cards and opens a Hallmark shop in Phyhico (Dimokratias 4). A few years later one more shop opens in Glyfada (Grigoriou Labraki 17).

1996 Art & Hobby becomes a licensee of Hallmark Cards and starts producing Greek text greeting cards under the Hallmark brand.

2006 The first issue of the Art & Hobby magazine is published and an online community for the friends of arts & crafts is established. Also, the same year, Art & Hobby agrees to have exclusive distribution of Imagine photographic albums and frames for Greece.

Art & Hobby maintains a specialized wholesale department and team of salesmen serving a network of 1.500 customers in Greece and Cyprus.
